We have here a wonderful, highly collectible vintage 1960s pocket doll clone. This adorable mid-century kitsch doll is an unbranded Uneeda Pee Wee clone manufactured in Hong Kong. Unlike the rigid plastic versions, this scarce variant is molded entirely from a soft, squeezable rubber or vinyl material.
This mid-century doll dates to the circa mid-1960s and features a soft body and head. It is clearly stamped "Hong Kong" on the back. The design showcases the classic Pee Wee stubby proportions, short fluffy blonde hair, painted side-glancing eyes with side lashes, and iconic flat, splayed starfish hands. It comes complete in its original bright red two-piece fabric swimsuit and matching wide-brimmed fringed straw sun hat.
Condition:
The doll is in excellent vintage condition with vibrant face paint. The soft vinyl type body is clean and intact with no cracking. The original red outfit is present and shows beautifully.
