Rare find, matching boy and girl pair of vintage 4-inch miniature thumb-sucking vinyl dolls from the late 1960s. These adorable figures perfectly capture the classic Showa retro aesthetic with their soulful, oversized eyes and nostalgic design. Made in Hong Kong as popular collectible clones of the Japanese Sekiguchi Mademoiselle Gege series, they are a fantastic piece for vintage toy collectors and are being sold strictly as a coordinated pair. Both dolls are clearly marked Hong Kong on their backs.

Both dolls sport matching 1960s style bobby caps with stitched brim lines and identical red felt flower accents that enhance their whimsical look. The boy wears an olive green cap to match his classic red-and-white checkered gingham shirt and bright orange dungaree overalls. The girl wears a vibrant orange cap to coordinate with her retro yellow floral patterned mini dress, which features delicate lace trimming at the collar and bottom hem.

These pocket-sized dolls stand at approximately 4 inches tall and showcase beautifully preserved hand-painted details that define the Showa era style. They feature side-glancing oversized blue eyes, long painted eyelashes, rosy blush cheeks, and cute sprinkled freckles. Their left hands are specially molded in a thumbs-up pose to perfectly rest inside their tiny open mouths for simulated thumb-sucking.

The pair is in very nice vintage shape with specific condition notes for each doll. The boy doll is in overall excellent cosmetic shape with his clothing in excellent condition, though he shows a few lighter white marks on his face that are hardly noticeable. The girl doll is in very good condition, showing just a few loose threads on her clothes and some expected age-related yellowing to her delicate lace trim. The vinyl bodies and painted facial features remain clean and bright on both figures.
